Please enter your case-sensitive Patent It! username and password HERE for FTP access to case documents and other resources.

Instructions for Using the Patent It™ FTP Server

Before clicking the link to the FTP server located on the Resources page, please make sure to configure your browser as follows. The following settings have been tested using Internet Explorer 6. Firefox users should be able to make conforming changes as well.

Turn off Windows Firewall if active (FTP access works with most third-party firewall software, but not Windows Firewall).

Go to Internet Explorer and select TOOLS then INTERNET OPTIONS and then select ADVANCED, and make sure that "Use Passive FTP" is checked."

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, under INTERNET OPTIONS click the ADVANCED tab and make sure that "Enable FTP Folder View" is selected.

Once these settings have been set, close all browser windows and return to this page and select the FTP access link above. Once a new window opens select FILE then LOGIN AS and enter your username and password.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, you will likely get a "Page Cannot be Displayed" error. If this occurs, click the “page” button on the command bar and select “Open FTP site in Windows Explorer.” This will open a Windows Explorer screen where you can log into the FTP server with your username and password.
